Greetings – 2023

Dear colleagues,

It is my honor to inform you that this conference IBRC2023, which is a restart one. This will be the restart international one in three years.
It is my pleasure to announce the statistician, Dr. Kenji Ushizawa as our Chair of IBRA2023. He is not a current university professor as we have collaborated with him for a long time, but he is a very accomplished statistician and we are very pleased to have him as the chairperson of our restart conference.
He was a major contributor to our first publication, "From Care Dependence to Independence 1", in 2002. This book describes the clinical trials that confirmed the effectiveness of our recommended rehabilitation methods. The author is the late Professor of Nippon Medical School's Department of Medical Administration Tetsuhiko Kimura, and I organized an evaluation committee and other groups to compile research on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the method. The accumulation of such research has borne fruit in the enforcement of a long workshop of the International Society of Rehabilitation Medicine and a bilateral seminar between Poland and Japan. The three-year blank seems to indicate that, in a sense, the basic research is over, and now research and development for dissemination, rather than basic research, is required. This time, we are making a new start with Dr. Ushizawa.
It would be my pleasure if the IBRC 2023 could be of help to the participants in improving the welfare of the people in their respective countries of residence through it and also our future study including your help and research reports. I would like to conclude my greetings by stating that we are making a fresh start as a society that promotes mutual recognition of new findings in a wide range of research fields, as President of BRA Tanaka mentioned in his address. In addition, a committee for development has been established, and I hope that you will participate in this committee as well.
