The International Biophilia Rehabilitation Conference (IBRC) will hold its 17th edition, during 7-10 April, 2020, in a very dear venue: the lovely city of Chisinau, the Capital of the Republic of Moldova.
So, I am delighted to greet this scientific event and I warmly congratulate for co-organizing and hosting it, the Society of the Specialists in Medical Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine from the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, I am pleased and strongly impressed of the Academic auspices granted to this IBRC by the prestigious (State) Universities of Medicine and Pharmacy: ”Nicolae Testemitanu, in Chisinau and respectively, ”Grigore T. Popa, in Iasi, Romania, and I also appreciate the involvement of the Society of Physicians and Naturalists, in Iasi.

As being, since almost ten years, contributor, over time, to different sucessful scientific events of the International Biophilia Rehabilitation Academy (IBRA)/ IBRC (Workshop, some Conferences and respectively, editorial endeavors), I am glad to determine, on this occassion, once more, the constancy, on long-term, of this esteemed, organization and endeavor.

From the perspective of the both medical specialties and related teaching/ academic activity that I have: Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and respectively, Gerontology and Geriatrics, I consider interesting and appropriate the general topic of this edition, which approaches the contributions of the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine together with modern technology - including of assistive-rehabilitative kind - to the overall improvement of the human health state and functioning in an aging society.
Accordingly, I wish to this edition - too - of the IBRC, a great success !
