THOMAS J. CAMACHO

Executive Director/AT Project Director

CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities

As the Co-Conference Chairperson, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the first ever 2002 International Conference on Assistive Technology & First Biophilia Rehabilitation Conference. The schedule of events includes outstanding sessions from leaders in our field, an exhibit hall packed with new resources, opportunities to exchange ideas and network with colleagues, and social gatherings you won't want to miss. Saipan, U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands offers a beautiful and cultural setting and opportunity for professional development all at the same time.

I am also pleased to received a great interest and support from our co-sponsor, the Biophilia Rehabilitation Academy of Japan. A one-day full of presentation by several professors from Japan will be heard for the first time. So don't miss this opportunity. The AT Project through the CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities extends its sincere appreciation to the numerous local agencies and organizations who are participating as conference planners and presenters. I encourage you to work with us as we reflect on how the AT Project and CNMI GCDD can support the issues we all face in these changing times. Make sure you continue to browse this conference website to learn more about the conference sessions and site.

On behalf of the members and staff of the CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities we welcome you to Saipan and the rest of the Northern Mariana Islands.

I look forward to seeing each of you on Saipan in November
